Another experiment with watercolours....Nietzsche was a philosopher as well as an antichrist....just so you know.

i used inks, acrylics, watercolours, technical pens, and several brushes.

thanks. i was looking for portraits with alot of shadow, and i happen to come by an old book of mine about him....so i decided "why not?"

Recognized the quote, nice choice for this piece :) Your style is really interesting, deceptive in its simplicity. The restrictive use of colors and color blocking is really well done. Great piece.

I really like this deviation. The way you colored this really makes it stand out. You did a great job with mixing all the different mediums. You also did well with the shading of his face and hair. Great work!

This is beautifully complex, and definately fitting to the subject. It shows off his brilliance by being so bold and strong, at the same time he's posed in a cool and thoughtful manner. Powerful. I absolutely love this style. The color choices are simple and complimentary not only to the eye but the subject. Cold, stark, bold, and complex. nice.

I really like this. I love how expressive the face is even with little detail, and just the mix of media. Really good.
